Cathedral Close, Salisbury

England's finest Cathedral precinct — history, culture and calm

Salisbury Cathedral Close is the largest cathedral close in England — a walled precinct of over 80 acres surrounding the Cathedral, containing medieval and Georgian buildings, lawns, museums and one of the most peaceful environments in the south of England. Visiting the Cathedral Close is free. The Cathedral itself charges admission but Choral Evensong remains free to attend.
