Salisbury's historic heart - market, shops and the Cathedral

Salisbury city centre is compact and walkable - a medieval market town with a twice-weekly Charter Market (Tuesday and Saturday), independent shops on the High Street and Butcher Row, and a concentration of restaurants and pubs within a short walk of the Cathedral. The Market Place is the heart of the city - surrounded by historic buildings and anchored by the stunning Cathedral spire visible from almost every street.
