Salisbury Arts Centre occupies a converted Victorian church on Bedwin Street — one of the most characterful cultural venues in the south of England. The building retains its original high ceilings and stained glass while housing a flexible performance space, gallery, café bar and office studios.
The programme is deliberately eclectic and adventurous — spanning indie and alternative music, contemporary dance, spoken word, comedy, world cinema, contemporary art exhibitions and experimental theatre. The venue champions new and emerging artists alongside established names, offering a programme quite different from the more mainstream Salisbury Playhouse.
The Arts Centre also hosts regular family events, creative workshops, life drawing evenings and community projects. The café bar is open on event nights and for exhibitions.
