The ranking here is roughly right but I'd swap #2 and #3. The one lower down has improved massively in the last year and deserves more votes than it's getting.

Always surprised by how many people vote for the top spot without having visited recently. Places change — a business that was #1 two years ago isn't always #1 today.

📜

One of only four surviving original copies of Magna Carta (1215) is kept in Salisbury Cathedral — it's one of the most important documents in democratic history.

The clock inside Salisbury Cathedral is thought to be the oldest working mechanical clock in the world, dating to around 1386 — over 630 years old.

🏺

The Cathedral's font, designed by William Pye in 2008, holds 5,500 litres of water and is based on the mathematical concept of a "hyperbolic paraboloid".
